Position overview

J.D. Tech LLC is seeking experienced Cable Technicians to support telecommunications and low-voltage infrastructure projects. This role is field-based and requires hands-on experience with fiber, coaxial, and structured cabling systems in residential and commercial environments.

Technicians will be responsible for installation, troubleshooting, and service delivery while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and customer interaction.

Key responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair fiber optic, coaxial, and Ethernet-based systems
  • Perform underground and structured cabling work as required
  • Troubleshoot signal, connectivity, and hardware issues using diagnostic tools
  • Configure and test routers, switches, and related network equipment
  • Support low-voltage systems including CCTV and access control when needed
  • Document service calls, installations, and maintenance activity accurately
  • Maintain a professional and customer-focused presence on-site

Required qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of cable, satellite, or telecommunications field experience
  • Working knowledge of fiber, coaxial, and Ethernet systems
  • Experience with hand tools and diagnostic equipment
  • Basic networking knowledge, including routers and switches
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Ability to work independently in a field environment

Preferred experience

  • Cisco networking equipment
  • Structured cabling and IT infrastructure support
  • Low-voltage systems such as CCTV and access control
  • Strong customer communication and documentation habits
